The ceremony and reception will both be held on the beautiful sandy beach town of Tela, Honduras, at the Telamar Resort.

Travel - Airport Info
Guests should arrive at the Ramon Villeda Morales International Airport in San Pedro Sula. The airport code is SAP.
The hotel will provide transportation to and from the airport (the cost is $125/each way and can be split between all the passengers sharing the shuttle), with the drive to the hotel lasting a little over an hour.
We would strongly encourage an early/daytime arrival, as this will allow you to see the tropical surroundings during the drive, and will also remove the stress of landing in a small but bustling foreign airport when it's dark.
Passport
You will absolutely need a valid passport for this trip and it must have AT LEAST SIX MONTHS LEFT BEFORE ITS EXPIRATION DATE in order to get in and out of the country (ErinRose learned this rule the hard way!).
"Festivities"
In the days following the ceremony, we'll be joining our guests in some activities around Tela. There are some beautiful parks, wonderful foods (conch!), and enlightening cultures all around, not to mention the beach itself.
These activities will be a mix of day trips, meals around town and should be enjoyable by most, if not all, guests, regardless of age. If you are looking for more adventure, we strongly encourage you to explore! If this means you might have to leave Tela before we do, please do and enjoy!!
Side Trips for the Adventurers!
Want to do more in Central America? Some of our favorite adventures in the region include:
- Roatan island (where we got engaged!)
A 20 minute flight from either San Pedro Airport or La Ceiba Airport, it is home to the second largest barrier reef in the world (which makes for incredible snorkeling & scuba), deep sea fishing, and also hosts a dolphin sanctuary. (Note from Paul: It also has a hyberbaric chamber in case you get the bends-- pretty cool!) There aren't that many flights per day, so this is definitely a multi-day trip.
- Copan Ruins - in Western Honduras
A long bus ride away, the ruins are beautiful and can be fully viewed in about a 3-5 hour walk. This will be one of our wedding activities, but you may want to also consider an overnight stay.
- Tikal Park & Ruins - Flores, Guatemala
One of the largest archaeological sites and urban centers of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization. This trip requires a couple smaller flights (to Guatemala City, and then to the Flores airport), but the howler monkeys and the sunrise tour makes the trip well worth the travel time. We'd recommend two days and two nights at the park to enjoy everything, and depending on flight schedules you may also need to spend a night in Guatemala City (we'd highly recommend La Inmaculada Hotel).

Travel Tips
AKA Freqently Asked Questions :)
- Travel insurance offered by the airlines is a pretty good idea. (A few years ago ErinRose had to cancel a flight because of a coup!)
- You can easily get local currency from ATMs in Honduras. There are two at the airport when you arrive, and there's one right next to the hotel, too. Banks inside of buildings are often nice because of the AC.
- Notify your banks of your trip dates so they don't lock you out of your accounts, and bring cards from multiple banks if you can. (Paul saw this happen to people a lot in Kenya-- having that extra account can be pretty handy!)
